Usage: Anadrol or Oxymetholone, is an oral steroid that has been used initially for treating anemia and muscle wasting diseases, it is a powerful steroid that produces very noticeable weight gains in a very short time. Oxymetholone has gained the approval of most bodybuilders because of its strong androgenic and anabolic effects. Bodybuilders can achieve a dramatic gain in strength and muscle mass in a very short time. Users can already see results within 14 days of use with an increase in body weight of about 10-15 pounds or even more.
Another important and often understated characteristic of this compound is that Oxymetholone doesn't bind well to the androgen receptor (Relative Binding Affinity = too low to be determined) which is the lowest I've ever read about . Basically, what this tells me is that there are a lot of non-receptor mediated effects from this steroid, making it a very potent addition to ANY BULKING stack, because it won't be competing for the receptor sites with the other steroids you're using. It's also, as you may have guessed, a very poor choice for a cutting stack.
The most common daily dose of Anapolon is 100mg, but even at that dosage side-effects like water-retention, elevated blood pressure, acne, hair loss, blood clotting changes, gynocomastia, liver toxicity and mood swings are very often reported. Using aromatase inhibitors to control estrogen aromatization will be ineffective as this drug does not directly convert into estrogen. It was suggested that oxymetholone can activate the estrogen receptor, similar to, but more profoundly than the estrogenic androgen methandriol. Supplements like Milk Thistle can be taken to help keep liver enzyme levels between safe ranges.
